Medical Gradient Compression Stockings
Medical gradient compression stockings improve venous and lymphatic blood flow. Compression stockings are designed to deliver a controlled amount of pressure which is greatest at the ankle of the garment and gradually decreases towards the top of the stocking. This gradient pressure promotes better venous blood flow which in turn helps to relieve and control Edema (swelling), varicose veins, leg fatigue and other problematic leg conditions.

Blood: How it circulates
Blood circulates in the body through a series of veins and arteries mainly due to the pumping action of the heart. Arteries are vessels that carry nutrients and oxygen rich blood to the body tissue. Veins are vessels responsible for returning deoxygenated blood back to the heart.
Veins and Valves: How they work
Valves are structures within the veins that when functioning properly allow blood to flow in one direction. When valves open, blood flows back towards the heart. When vales close, blood is prevented from flowing backwards.
